Sunset at Melsbroek Air Base 🌅

One of the most magical evenings I had in a long time took place in Melsbroek when we visited the 15th Wing Air Transport. Around 7:30 pm we were welcomed into the base and we started by getting a tour in the brand new hangars where the A400M maintenance takes place. Fun fact: the hangar has the size from approximately two football fields and it is fully heated with underfloor heating.

We saw how maintenance is done, something more complicated than you would first think due to the enormous size of the aircraft. Aerial work platforms are needed to reach everything!

After seeing the A400M that was in the hangar from the in- and outside we got to take more pictures on the airport apron. The departing and arriving aircraft together with the stationed ones and the magnificent sunset gave the perfect vibe for cool content.
